A Key Challenge for Future Millionaires
“The worst outcome in this world is not having self-esteem. If you don’t love yourself, who will?”
Naval Ravikant
Low Self-Esteem
David O. reports on an alarming realty among people in general. He describes what’s going on as he relates a challenge Dan Pena gave to 50,000 participants. He asked then to do two things: First, he asked them to visit exotic car dealerships and act as a buyer. They were dealerships like Rolls Royce and Lamborghini. Second, he asked them to visit homes worth millions of dollars, act as buyers and in both situations, take selfies. Only 8 people out of 50,000 did what he asked. In most cases it was a lack of courage to prepare and follow through with this assignment. Essentially, they would have to believe they could do it and then do the required homework to act as a true millionaire ready to buy. Low self-esteem plays a big part when there is lack of courage to step out into the unfamiliar. Unfortunately, low self-esteem is prevalent in our culture. As a people group, we have been positioned as a low-level people and on top of that, there are many other factors influencing our level of self-esteem. Low self-esteem is caused by critical parents and teachers, poor academic performance, life stresses such as, relationships, financial and physical pressures, just to name a few. These experiences design our perception of ourselves. All of this can cause sever damage to our self-worth. Only the grace of Yah has kept us! Now here we are, in spite of our past, preparing to become millionaires for our culture!
The Self-Esteem of a Millionaire
“You may be the only person left who believes in you, but it’s enough.
It takes just one star to pierce the universe of darkness.”
Richelle E. Goodrich
This quote describes the value of self-esteem in an excellent manner. Self-esteem is confidence in one’s own worth and abilities. Basically, it is genuine self respect. As legitimate members of God’s Kingdom we are automatically royal people. Dr. Francis Myles highlighted our true position in his book when he quoted Revelation 1:5-6, And from Jesus christ, who is the faithful witness, and the first begotten of the dead, and the prince of the kings of the earth. Unto him that loved us, and washed us from our sins in his own blood, and hath made us kings and priests unto God and his Father; to him be glory and dominion for ever and ever. KJV
“According to this passage it is clear that the primary reason why the blood of Christ was shed was to cleanse us from sin, so that we can be made kings and priests unto God.”
Dr. Myles.
If we have real self-esteem, rejection is not offensive to us. We move on to the next thing. Self-Esteem help us to continue driving toward our goals no matter what happens. We can easily handle the negative things the world throws at us. We’re not easily offended. Offense is the “Bait of Satan”.
“Father, Your Word says that a person who does not pursue peace by releasing offenses will become defiled. I declare that I will not allow defilement to enter my life but will pursue peace in all things.”
John Bevere
If you have high self-esteem you will exhibit certain characteristics. The following list is a great check list to use for analyzing your self concept. It could point to areas of improvement you want to pursue.
- You believe in yourself.
- You have a clear idea of what you want or need.
- You are a great communicator. You speak and listen well.
- You have a drive to succeed toward a cherished goal.
- You can handle change without frustration.
- You enjoy healthy relationships.
- You set goals and stick to them.
- You have no problem laughing at yourself.
- You have firm values and beliefs.
- You have no problem trusting your own judgement.
- You like a variety of activities and hobbies.
- You can sense the needs of others and work to help them.
You may use this as a checklist or a recipe, either way, it will get you to your Future Self and millions of dollars under your control!
Benjamin Hardy always advises that “Our behavior drives motivation.” Act then become.
“You’re more likely to act yourself into feeling, than feeling yourself into action.”
Benjamin Hardy
God has created you for this time in history to carry out His plan for your life. You can act yourself into being a self-confident and self-respecting millionaire for the Kingdom. Use the checklist for actions and attitudes. Practice until they become a part of who you really are. You will then be confident enough to practice the habits of millionaires or billionaires and take the initiative to visit the places they would visit and do the things they would do. As you begin to act more like a millionaire, it will definitely grow on you.
“The long anticipated supernatural wealth transfer is intricately connected to the coronation of the children of the kingdom as kings and priests unto God. Rev. 1:6”.
Dr. Francis Myles
